Job summary

Hydrasearch, a U.S. manufacturer, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Stevensville, MD, to lead design and development of fluid-transfer components and mechanical hardware for aerospace, defense, and marine applications.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, customers and suppliers, delivering practical, manufacturable solutions while guiding engineers and drafters through reviews and lifecycle changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design or product development.
• Experience leading complex projects from concept to production.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and clear technical communication.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and GD&T; knowledge of manufacturing methods.
• Ability to balance performance, cost, manufacturability and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product development from requirements through production release.
• Design and improve mechanical components, create 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Support prototyping, testing, and design reviews with teams.
• Troubleshoot issues with manufacturing and quality to drive improvements.
• Guide engineering changes and configuration control across lifecycle.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on technical requirements.
