Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Project Engineer II to manage multiple engineering projects from concept through launch. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide technical direction, and partner with Operations, Quality and Suppliers to deliver conforming parts on aggressive schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in designing a product to mass production.
• Ability to manage low to moderately complex NPD projects.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Solid part costing understanding.
• Good grasp of engineering specifications and roles of Suppliers, Quality, and Purchasing.
• Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
• Able to manage projects to aggressive schedules and adapt to change.
• Familiarity with tolerance analysis and basic 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple low to moderately complex engineering projects with minimal direction.
• Provide project management and technical direction to ensure timely implementation.
• Review work of designers and engineers; set team goals and track schedules.
• Communicate project status to cross functional and management teams.
• Identify risks, critical paths, and escalation when needed.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure conforming parts.
• Draft test plans and specifications; present status updates.
