ManpowerGroup is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee capital projects in a highly automated manufacturing environment. You will balance technical design, project management, and field execution while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams.

The role emphasizes process improvements, safety, and reliability as you drive projects from concept through startup and final acceptance in a dynamic production setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineering/management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects ranging from approximately $25K to $3M+.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and appropriation requests.
• Manage projects through design, procurement, construction, startup, and final acceptance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency.
• Develop PFDs, plant layouts, and P&IDs.
• Perform engineering calculations and review drawings.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate vendor submissions.
• Monitor field construction activities and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, process engineering, and leadership teams.
• Participate in PHA, MOC, PSSR, incident investigations, and PSM activities.
• Develop annual and long-range capital plans with plant leadership.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, documentation, and reporting.
• Ensure contractor adherence to safety requirements and regulations.
• Support CI initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
