TRS Staffing Solutions seeks a Senior Process & Capital Projects Engineer for a Midwestern industrial facility. The role combines project leadership with hands-on technical support to improve safety, reliability, and asset utilization.

You will partner with operations, maintenance, environmental, and engineering teams to execute projects from concept through startup, identifying continuous improvement opportunities across the site.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience within industrial manufacturing or process industries.
• Experience leading capital projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and environmental compliance requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead capital improvement projects from initial concept development through execution and startup.
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and implementation plans.
• Provide engineering support for production operations, equipment reliability, and process optimization.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Coordinate project activities with cross-functional stakeholders and external contractors.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee contractor performance during project execution.
• Track project costs, schedules, and key performance indicators.
• Support site compliance, safety, and environmental initiatives.
• Maintain engineering documentation, technical records, and change management processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reliability, throughput, and overall asset performance.
• Participate in commissioning and startup activities for new equipment and facility modifications.

Position Overview

A leading industrial manufacturing and processing organization is seeking a Senior Process & Capital Projects Engineer to support facility operations and drive strategic capital improvement initiatives. This position combines project leadership with hands‑on technical support to improve safety, reliability, operational performance, and asset utilization.

The successful candidate will partner with operations, maintenance, environmental, and engineering teams to execute projects from concept through startup while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead capital improvement projects from initial concept development through execution and startup.
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and implementation plans.
• Provide engineering support for production operations, equipment reliability, and process optimization.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.

• Experience leading capital projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and environmental compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience supporting continuous-process manufacturing operations.
• Background in process improvement, reliability, or operational excellence programs.
• Experience with commissioning and startup activities.
