Job summary

Traylor Bros., Inc. seeks a Sr Project Engineer to lead daily operations on complex heavy civil projects.

You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion within budget, while guiding staff and subcontractors to meet safety and quality standards. The role requires a strong background in design, project management, and supervisory responsibilities, with travel and relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 20 years of supervisory experience in the industry.
• At least 10 years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Design, project management and supervisory experience required.
• Marine and foundation construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allocation of resources.
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
• Provides technical advice and resolves problems with project personnel.
• Coordinates project activities with Traylor personnel and joint venture partners.
• Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project including safety, performance, budget, scheduling, equipment management and quality.
• Leads the project team and carries out supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws.
• Works with estimating during project procurement phases and relocations as needed.
