Job summary

Traylor Bros., Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead daily operations on a designated heavy civil project, coordinating staff to meet scope, schedule, and budget. Relocation to a regional office or project may be required as part of the role.

You will review proposals, assign duties, supervise project personnel, monitor progress, and prepare key reports. A Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of heavy civil supervision is expected, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or 20 years of supervisory experience in the industry.
• At least 10 years of heavy civil construction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limits, procedures, staffing requirements and resource allocation.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties and establish authority scope.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
• Reviews status reports and adjusts schedules as needed.
• Prepares project reports for management, clients or others.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Coordinate project activities with Traylor personnel and joint venture partners.
• Lead the project team and supervise as per policy; manage safety, budget, scheduling, equipment and quality.
