Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston seeks a senior engineer to lead a team and coordinate the engineering aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposals, and own the engineering elements of capital estimates.

Your guidance ensures compliance with QA plans, safety standards, and project scope and budget. The role requires PE or RA licensure and broad knowledge of CAD, engineering calculations, and interfacing with PM, procurement, and construction.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent).
• 13–15 years of relevant experience or 17–19 years in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the engineering activity on a medium size project or designated portions of a very large or complicated project.
• Manages complex organizational interactions among Bechtel entities and client relationships.
• Establishes the detailed project execution plan and the engineering budget and schedule.
• Owns the engineering elements of a project capital estimate (proposals and execution).
• Performs and manages work in accordance with Engineering Dept. Procedures and design guides.
• Coordinates engineering effort with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, ES&H, and Project Controls.
