Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline with five years of related experience or
• Master's degree with three years of related experience
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Skilled in managing large/complex Engineering projects
• Ability to develop and implement new methods for operational improvement
• Ability to understand safety hazards and follow safety practices
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Preferred: Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of assigned large/complex Engineering projects and programs, ensuring completion within time and cost constraints
• Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects
• Manage projects and act as SME on site planning/construction, expansion or modifications
• Guide site management on applicable processes, practices, and local, state and federal regulations
• Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting for designated Engineering areas
• Develop and evaluate AFEs for capital funding requests
• Possibly evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for services and equipment
• Represent the site on company steering committees or task forces
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline

Master's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline

Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering

Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
