Performance Contracting Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead and support interior systems projects. You will oversee project controls, client and field communication, subcontractor coordination, change management, procurement, scheduling, and financial performance.

The role requires 4–7 years of construction management experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to read drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of projects from turnover through closeout.
• Set up, track, and forecast labor to align with budgets.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and closeout docs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs to verify scope and pricing changes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with PMs, superintendents, and foremen.
• Coordinate procurement, materials, and subcontractor activities.
• Monitor job costs, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Communicate project status and risks to management.
