Job summary

Performance Contracting seeks an experienced Project Manager for its San Diego operations. You will lead planning, coordination, financial management, and delivery of interior systems projects, including metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, exterior cladding, plaster, and related scopes.

You will build client relationships, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor project engineers and field teams while ensuring safety and quality across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in Construction Management.
• Experience in commercial construction and interior systems.
• Proficient in Excel & Word; strong reading of specs/drawings.
• Excellent communication and customer relations.
• Detail-oriented with cost analysis expertise.
• Ability to read schedules and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from precon through closeout; ensure safety, schedule and budget compliance.
• Maintain full financial accountability: forecasting, cost control, revenue recognition, cash flow.
• Develop relationships with owners, GCs, architects and trade partners.
• Lead project teams of engineers, superintendents, foremen and field staff.
• Review documents for scope, schedule and contract compliance.
• Manage schedules and recovery plans; oversee procurement and subcontractors.
• Lead change management: pricing, negotiation and resolution.
• Conduct project reviews; report status, risks, forecasts to leadership.
• Oversee billings, collections, change orders and contract admin.
