Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in San Diego seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead interior systems projects, directing preconstruction to closeout with focus on safety, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction. You will manage teams, budgets, and contracts while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

The role requires 7+ years in construction management, proficiency in Excel/Word, and the ability to read specifications and drawings with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of construction management experience.
• Experience in commercial construction.
• Proficient in Excel & Word.
• Strong ability to read and interpret specs and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong track record of customer relationship management.
• Attention to detail and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and contract compliance.
• Maintain full financial accountability including forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
• Develop and sustain relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, and trade partners.
• Lead project teams including Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and material planning.
• Manage change orders including identification, pricing, negotiation, and resolution.
• Communicate project status, risks, forecasts, and opportunities to leadership.
• Ensure timely billings, collections, and contract administration.
