Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Industrial Construction (MAIC) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive industrial mechanical projects from estimation to closeout on a Glen Burnie site. You will coordinate with the Operations Manager and field foremen to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires 6+ years in industrial construction, a mechanical engineering degree, and strong knowledge of P&IDs and piping systems. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of related industrial construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Thorough understanding of P&IDs, layout drawings, and piping isometrics.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and standard industrial piping systems.
• Willingness to travel within the Baltimore metro area.
• Valid US Citizenship or Green Card status.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key link between the office and field, managing multiple industrial projects from estimation to closeout.
• Coordinate daily with the Operations Manager and jobsite foremen to support field execution and resolve technical roadblocks.
• Draft clear RFIs and update construction drawings to keep engineering specs current.
• Formulate precise project estimates by analyzing labor, materials, and subcontractor quotes.
• Visit active project sites weekly to verify progress and document milestones.
