Job summary

ADM in Vineland, NJ seeks a Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer for on-site, full-time employment. You will lead piping system design, manage projects, and mentor the design team while ensuring compliance with ASME/ANSI/API/PIP codes.

Responsibilities include detailed calculations, P&ID development, coordination across disciplines, site inspections, schedules, and budgets. PE license or timely acquisition is required; 10+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Current PE license or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA, PIPE-FLOW, Codeware Inspect, AutoPipe.
• Significant experience with ASME, ANSI, API, PIP codes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of piping systems for industrial projects.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations to ensure integrity and safety of piping systems and vessels.
• Develop and review P&IDs, isometrics, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, PMs, and clients for seamless project execution.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and compliance with design specs.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in piping design.
