Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major multiyear I-95 widening project in the Savannah, GA area. This role focuses on engineering execution, cost control, scheduling, and field coordination to support a landmark highway and bridge program.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil highway or DOT projects, a Civil Engineering related degree, and are ready to relocate or are based in Savannah. Opportunities for growth toward Project Manager are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Office.
• Bridge experience a plus; GDOT/SCDOT a plus; EIT/PE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real-time field input on bridge and roadway work.
