Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for a major I-95 widening project in the Savannah, GA area. This role focuses on the engineering side of interstate widening with major bridge work and new interchanges, coordinating with DOT inspectors and design engineers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge projects and are based in Savannah or willing to relocate for a multiyear assignment, with opportunities toward Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge, or DOT projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent, with real time in the field on bridge and roadway work
