Allan Myers Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for heavy civil construction in the Maryland region. Working with the Project Manager, you will direct planning, scheduling, and field coordination to ensure successful project delivery on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a construction management role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 hour required.
• FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) and PE (Professional Engineer) certification desirable.
• Working knowledge of contract administration systems, job cost management, change order management, labor & equipment reporting, planning and scheduling, preconstruction planning, safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and exercise authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of heavy civil projects.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications and technical information; disseminate to project team and subcontractors.
• Prepare field design changes and RFIs; review shop drawings, calculations, and data for conformance to specs.
• Assist PM in identifying safety issues and address budget implications with Estimators.
• Ensure timely finalization of purchase orders and subcontracts; monitor subcontractor performance.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and professional communication.
