Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is assisting a large national heavy civil contractor in hiring Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers for highway and infrastructure work in the Atlanta area.

These roles involve leading engineering on highway, bridge and DOT projects with a clear path to Project Manager and opportunities to work on large-scale Southeast projects. You will run the engineering side of your scope, manage submittals, RFIs, cost reports, schedules, and coordination with

Qualifications

• 2+ years in heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects (5+ years for Senior PE).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• GDOT or state DOT experience is a plus.
• Based in Atlanta area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs, and pay applications.
• Track cost vs. budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update project schedules in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries.
• Work with owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE).
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real-time field activity.
