Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer for highway and infrastructure work in the Atlanta area. You will run the engineering side of your scope on highway, bridge and infrastructure projects, including state DOT work, with a path to Project Manager.

You will mentor field engineers and support the Project Manager in the field, coordinating with owners, inspectors and design engineers to resolve change orders and field issues, while building schedules

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects; 5+ years for Senior PE
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders
• GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE)
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field
