Job summary

Your Talent Team is assisting a large national heavy civil contractor in finding a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer for highway and infrastructure work in the Atlanta area. You’ll lead the engineering scope on projects including highway, bridge, and DOT work, collaborating with owners, inspectors and design teams.

Ideal candidates have heavy civil experience, a track record with submittals, RFIs, cost control and scheduling software; relocation-ready professionals are welcome to

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects; 5+ years for Senior PE.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus.
• Bridge experience is a plus.
• EIT or PE is a plus.
• Based in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE)
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field
