Job Juncture is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for heavy civil/FDOT work in Naples, FL. The role balances technical leadership with commercial ownership, overseeing RFIs, submittals, subcontractors, schedules in Primavera P6, and cost tracking on FDOT road and bridge projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years on heavy civil projects, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, and are prepared to relocate to Southwest Florida.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy civil, highway or bridge work for a contractor.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong with RFIs, subcontractor management, change orders, quantities and cost tracking.
• Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Florida PE license is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• Based in Southwest Florida or ready to relocate to the Naples area.

Responsibilities

• Run RFIs, submittals and technical coordination with the owner, Engineer of Record and field team
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6
• Track quantities, cost against bid and monthly forecasts
• Manage subcontractors, their contracts and change orders
• Review plans, specifications and shop drawings for contract and FDOT conformance
• Support monthly pay estimates, billing and cash flow
• Coordinate survey, quality control and quality assurance inspections
• Work with the superintendent to spot conflicts and delays before they hit the field
• Lead project meetings with foremen, subcontractors and owner representatives
• Keep NPDES, the SWPPP and the safety program on track

A heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with work across Florida is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for FDOT roadway and bridge work in the Naples area. This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer or a strong Project Engineer ready to step up, with 5+ years on heavy civil jobs, who wants more ownership and a clear path to Project Manager. You'll run the technical and commercial side of the job, from RFIs and submittals to subcontractors, quantities and cost, much of it FDOT work.
