Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a Naples, FL heavy civil highway project. You will assist the Project Manager and senior engineers to manage cost, schedule, subcontracts and owner reporting on FDOT-heavy work across Southwest Florida.

This is a full-time, onsite role with growth opportunities on a stable project team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction management experience, a related degree, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities

Qualifications

• 5+ years assisting or supervising increasingly complex construction work.
• Four year degree in Construction Management or Construction Science, or an engineering/architecture degree with added business/admin training.
• Able to coordinate multiple activities under pressure and manage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full time onsite in Naples, FL.
• Heavy civil highway and FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in Southwest Florida or willing to relocate to Naples area.

Responsibilities

• Plan cost, resources and schedule for the project.
• Administer subcontracts and manage subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate workers, materials and equipment with the field team.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and regulations for the team.
• Handle contracts, permits and licenses.
• Supervise assistant managers and engineers and review their reports.
• Address safety issues and support the safety program.
• Control the budget and uphold the schedule.

A heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with work across Florida is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a project in the Naples area. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or senior Project Engineer with 5+ years of construction management experience who wants a bigger seat on a stable project team. You'll help run cost, schedule, subcontracts and owner reporting on heavy civil highway work, much of it FDOT work. Southwest Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
