Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in Naples, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a major heavy civil highway project. You will support the Project Manager in cost, schedule, subcontracts and owner reporting on FDOT-type work, within a stable project team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction management experience, a four-year CM/CS degree (or engineering/architecture with business training), and the ability to coordinate multiple activities under pressure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years assisting or supervising increasingly complex construction work.
• Four year degree in Construction Management or Construction Science, or an engineering or architecture degree with added business administration or accounting training.
• Able to coordinate multiple activities under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full time onsite in Naples.
• Heavy civil highway experience is a plus.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in Southwest Florida or ready to relocate to the Naples area.

Responsibilities

• Plan cost, resources and schedule for the project.
• Administer subcontracts and manage subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate workers, materials and equipment with the field team.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and regulations for the team.
• Handle contracts, permits and licenses.
• Supervise assistant managers and engineers and review their reports.
• Correct safety issues on the job and back the safety program.
• Control the budget and hold the schedule.
• Report progress to owners, engineers and architects.

A heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with work across Florida is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a project in the Naples area. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or senior Project Engineer with 5+ years of construction management experience who wants a bigger seat on a stable project team. You'll help run cost, schedule, subcontracts and owner reporting on heavy civil highway work, much of it FDOT work. Southwest Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
