General Mills in Albuquerque is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead on-site capital projects from scope through start-up. You will provide technical solutions across the plant and work with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

The role requires strong project management, leadership, and collaboration with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance to drive productivity and cost savings. A fast-paced food manufacturing environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other degree with applicable project management experience or extensive relevant work experience
• 3+ years prior capital management experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of capital planning, capital policy, capital tools, and capital funding processes.
• Ability to develop screening-level estimates, preliminary scope, project budgets, and project funding documentation.
• Demonstrated skills in executing several large concurrent assignments with emphasis on project management, productivity, and packing development
• Demonstrated technical leadership, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision making, troubleshooting, communications, team management, and human relations skills
• Strong ability to involve technicians in the project process
• Experience working with plant technicians, leadership staff, outside vendors and managing contractors and outside firms

Responsabilités

• Lead on-site capital projects including budget, schedule, construction, start-up, and scope development.
• Develop system design standards and drive improvements across unit operations.
• Maintain interface with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance.
• Provide innovative technical solutions to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Build cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, and communicate with partners.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and engineering firms to execute projects.
• Support annual capital planning and manage departmental capital programs.
• Coach and develop less experienced engineers and internal staff.
