Job summary

Weaver Consultants Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Solid Waste CQA team in the Southwest Practice Group. This role will provide field coverage for QA/QC activities and supervise a team of engineering technicians across several states.

Responsibilities include supervising QA/QC, coordinating field documentation for certification reports, and addressing emergencies as they arise. Strong communication and cross-functional leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in construction and/or engineering focused on QA.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering.
• Willingness to travel to cover PTO and site visits.
• Experience with nuclear density gauge preferred.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Teams and Outlook.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction QA/QC across multiple states.
• Directly supervise engineering technicians.
• Coordinate field staff for documentation and reports.
• Assist project manager with data for certification reports.
• Be readily accessible to address emergencies.
• Coordinate field equipment with staff on a project basis.
• Manage multiple activities and resolve problems.
• Establish good working relationships with owners, managers, designers, and field staff.
