Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Engineering & Manufacturing to oversee custom equipment projects from design to commissioning. You will define scope, specification and deliverables, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Environmental, Safety & Health, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.

You will lead kickoff meetings, maintain project gates, track progress, and communicate status clearly to internal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years in project management in manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication across organizational levels.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear project specs and assemble RFQ packages.
• Define scope and requirements from quotes, proposals, PO, and internal requirements.
• Serve as primary engineering contact for the project.
• Coordinate and lead internal kickoff meetings with teams.
• Maintain the 6 Gate Capital Project sheet reflecting scope/milestones.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables through all phases.
• Facilitate technical reviews and communicate status clearly.
• Monitor scope, schedule, and budget changes; generate updates.
• Track time charges and resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
• Identify delays and escalate to department heads when necessary.
• Recommend improvements to enhance quality and processes.
