Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Searcy, AR, to own manufacturing improvements and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives. You will design, develop, and implement automation and digital solutions across designated areas, acting as the go-to expert for robotics, PLCs, data analysis, and MES integrations.

You will lead projects, apply software skills (VB.Net, C#, Python), and influence capital equipment choices to boost productivity, quality, and cost competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on engineering in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automation and PLC programming (RSLogix, Automation Direct, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions integrating robotics, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Act as lead technical problem-solver for manufacturing areas using data analysis.
• Develop programs in VB.Net, C#, and Python to interface machinery with MES.
• Program and integrate equipment including PLCs, torque tools, laser markers, and vision systems.
• Lead cross-functional projects to justify and implement new capital equipment.

Are you a manufacturing engineer who is passionate about building the smart factory of the future? As our new Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will do more than just improve existing processes; you will design, develop, and implement the automation and digital solutions that will redefine our operations.

This is a role for a true technical owner. You will have engineering accountability for your designated manufacturing areas, acting as the go-to expert for everything from advanced robotics and PLC programming to data analysis and process optimization.

You will be a key driver of our Industry 4.0 journey, using your unique blend of software development and mechanical engineering skills to solve complex challenges and make a tangible impact on our productivity, quality, and cost-competitiveness.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge automation solutions, integrating robotics, PLCs, and HMIs to enhance productivity and quality on the factory floor.
• Act as the lead technical problem-solver for your areas, using data analysis and your hands-on expertise to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
• Use your software development skills in languages like VB.Net , C#, and Python to create custom programs and interfaces that connect our machinery to our MES.
• Program and integrate a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, including PLCs (RSLogix), torque tools, laser markers, and vision systems.
• Lead cross-functional projects to justify, select, and implement new capital equipment, driving the business case for the next generation of our technology.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related automation field, with at least 2 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with automation and PLC programming (such as RSLogix, Automation Direct, or similar).
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language ( VB.Net , C#, Python) and experience with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with CAD software (like AutoCAD or SolidWorks) for designing fixtures and layouts.
• A proactive, hands-on problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement and a deep curiosity for new technology.
