Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in the United States to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives on the factory floor. You’ll own automation projects, from robotics to PLC programming, and connect equipment to MES through software and controls expertise.

With a hands-on approach, you’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, leverage data analytics, and push continuous improvement to improve productivity, quality, and cost-competitiveness across designated manufacturing areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an automation-related engineering field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on engineering in manufacturing.
• Automation experience and PLC programming proficiency required.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (VB.Net, C#, Python).
• Familiarity with CAD software for fixture/layout design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions including robotics, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Lead technical problem-solving and apply data analysis to manufacturing challenges.
• Create interfaces linking machinery to MES using programming skills.
• Program and integrate equipment like PLCs, torque tools, laser markers, vision systems.
• Lead cross-functional projects to justify and implement new capital equipment.
