X Energy, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Project Engineer III/IV to plan, coordinate, and execute moderately complex engineering activities in support of project objectives. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to ensure deliverables meet schedules, cost targets, and quality standards.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with 5-8 years for Level III or 10+ for Level IV in energy/nuclear or similar sectors; strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related technical field.
• Level III typically 5–8 years of engineering, project engineering, or related experience in energy, nuclear, petrochemical, or high-technology hardware/software development.
• Level IV requires 10+ years of relevant experience and leadership in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute moderately complex engineering scope aligned with project objectives, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Provide technical inputs and coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional partners.
• Support resolution of moderately complex technical, programmatic, and interface issues affecting scope, schedule, and quality.
• Contribute to project engineering priorities, execution strategies, and integration plans for timely delivery.
• Track deliverables, interfaces, decisions, risks, and action items for disciplined execution.
• Identify technical, schedule, and cost risks and assist in mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements, interfaces, and dependencies are understood and managed.
• Assist in integrating engineering work products into broader project execution plans.
