Job summary

NiSource is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the project engineering and detailed design phase for generation projects. You will apply engineering project management across initiation, planning, design, submittals, constructability reviews, and transitions to Construction.

You will coordinate with project teams, ensure budget and schedule adherence, and drive value through standard engineering practices, risk management, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited program.
• 7–9 years in electric utility engineering or operations.
• 1–3 years leading people or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering work within the project team.
• Develop input to establish projected project costs.
• Manage project schedule and cost with project controls.
• Ensure alignment with NiSource standards and safety policies.
