Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion. You will oversee budgets, schedules, invoicing, and client communication, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualified candidates will hold a BS in a relevant field, a PE license in required states, and proven leadership in project management and business development within a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in civil/construction materials testing and project leadership.
• PE license required in each state of work.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with budgets, invoicing, and client relations.
• Proficiency with ASTM standards and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion.
• Ensure all tasks from proposal through invoicing are completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee daily report review and resolve technical/administrative issues.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, pay applications, and collections.
• Prepare and review proposals and change orders.
• Serve as primary client contact and project liaison.
• Present findings in project meetings and resolve issues.
• Provide technical oversight for testing activities and deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and develop project managers.
• Support staffing decisions and resource allocation across projects.
• Market services and develop client relationships.
• Perform other project management and leadership duties as assigned.
