Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage cost data, track budgets and monitor resources across infrastructure projects in the WA district. You will lead engineering teams, review drawings and specifications, and keep projects on schedule and within budget in a design-build environment.

The role requires 8+ years of construction engineering experience, leadership of engineering teams, and a strong grasp of cost coding, scheduling and safety processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years construction engineering experience.
• Experience managing construction engineering teams.
• Ability to lead design-build or alternative build projects.
• Set clear expectations for direct reports regarding roles.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering team to review production schedule and confirm materials and resources.
• Review drawings, specifications, material requirements and project data.
• Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
• Identify budget and schedule risks and mitigate delays and costs.
• Evaluate weekly and monthly production, schedule and budget projections.
• Update project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
• Initiate and manage all RFIs and verify project quantities and cost coding.
• Manage invoicing with accounting for materials and subcontractors.
• Review JHAs to ensure safety and compliance on site.
• Lead the project during close-out and review the checklist with owner.
