Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Field Engineer to lead site activities and provide technical engineering information ensuring construction work aligns with engineering standards, codes and contract specs.

You will review production schedules with project crews, analyze drawings and data, and identify risks and cost considerations to keep projects on track and on budget. A Bachelor's degree and construction knowledge are required, with 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
• 1+ year experience preferred.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge required.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials/equipment/resources.
• Collects, coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data for quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identifies risks impacting budget or schedule.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections; documents daily activities.
• Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using project cost coding; collaborates with finance.
