Job summary

Freeport LNG in Houston is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer for Capital Projects to lead multi-disciplinary engineering efforts on new and ongoing projects.

You will collaborate with external engineering contractors, discipline leads, project management, and stakeholders to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company specifications. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years in engineering roles, capital projects in oil, gas, refinery, or industrial sectors.
• Experience with LNG projects and familiarity with FERC and PHMSA regs.
• Senior project engineering experience in capital projects and/or turnaround in operating facilities.
• Prior EPC experience in construction, with roles like Technical Service Manager or Discipline Lead.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary engineering efforts for capital projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations, maintenance, procurement, and OH&S teams.
• Oversee development and review of engineering deliverables for standards and compliance.
• Coordinate with external firms, consultants, and vendors to meet objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and technologies.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments to identify challenges.
• Develop and implement engineering execution plans and schedules.
• Facilitate clear communication among disciplines and stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic decisions with technical insights.
