Job summary

Freeport LNG is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to manage minor capital projects within the engineering team in Freeport, TX, with relocation to Houston HQ planned.

The role requires coordinating scopes, schedules, budgets, and interfaces across multiple disciplines, ensuring compliance with codes and QA/QC standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, and be able to drive projects from planning through delivery while

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering systems, calculations, and materials.
• Ability to comprehend design specifications, standards, and contracts.
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
• Ability to conduct efficient meetings.
• Ability to develop comprehensive scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Develops and/or reviews project scopes of work.
• Develops and/or reviews project execution plans and internal/contract resource splits.
• Develops and/or reviews project cost estimates and forecasts.
• Develops and/or reviews project schedules.
• Monitors progress and delivers project updates to management.
• Leads coordination across multiple disciplines to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintains project quality assurance plans and KPIs.
• Ensures compliance with codes, practices and specifications.
• Manages field activities and contractor interfaces with safety in mind.
• Responds to RFIs/ESRs and coordinates with stakeholders.
