Job summary

Barry Callebaut USA, based in Eddystone, PA, seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects across manufacturing sites in the USA. You will manage scope, budgets, and schedules, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive engineering standards in a dynamic food industry setting.

Travel between plants 10–30% is expected; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with a master’s preferred and PMP as a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s in Engineering/Construction Management or related field.
• Master’s degree (MS/MBA) is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera; knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead outsourced engineers and staff; oversee project execution.
• Develop and validate standards and internal work instructions.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and contractor payments.
• Prepare documentation and design drawings; ensure quality and conformance.
• Establish and revise QA/QC standards; obtain stakeholder approvals.
• Coordinate planning, design, and construction with stakeholder input.
• Direct resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Oversee procurement strategies with vendors and contractors.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Lead budget estimation for CapEx 2-year mid-term planning.
