Job summary

Barry Callebaut seeks an Engineering Execution Director to lead the US greenfield/major brownfield chocolate manufacturing project. You will oversee internal and external engineering teams, manage scope, estimates, schedule, and safety/compliance, guiding the project from early planning through start-up to achieve VSU status within budget.

The role requires 12+ years in engineering, advanced English, and expertise in TPM, Stage-gate, CQV/IQOQPQ, with travel ~30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical).
• Advanced English proficiency.
• 12+ years in engineering, food process or CPG industry.
• Experience in major greenfield/brownfield development, execution and start-up.
• Experience managing engineering or technical departments.
• Team leadership and development experience.
• Technical skills to develop core processes.
• Accounting and budgeting skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and SAP; familiarity with engineering software.
• Knowledge of TPM, IM and Stage-gate project management.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and drive accountability.
• Willingness to travel ~30% for global meetings; US allocation.

Responsibilities

• Manage US greenfield/major brownfield project from an engineering standpoint.
• Lead internal and external engineering teams; report progress to stakeholders.
• Participate in Global Engineering Community and set directional guidance.
• Organize regular technical steering meetings with senior leadership.
• Drive start-up activities with program directors and start-up teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost KPIs are met.
• Adhere to capex budgets and project schedules.
