Job summary

COPT Defense Properties is seeking a seasoned facilities engineering professional to lead technical projects and direct field staff across assigned properties in Maryland. You will ensure adherence to security requirements, manage building systems, and drive energy efficiency initiatives while coordinating with tenants and vendors.

The role requires strong communication, on-site availability, and a proven track record in supervising technical teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience as a senior service technician or project engineer with 5–10 years providing work direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and provide work direction to technicians and subcontractors.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage energy and BAS related tasks and dashboard reporting.
• Oversee budget and equipment expenditure within guidelines.
• Coordinate with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
