Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Capital Projects Manager in the United States to lead end-to-end capital initiatives from conception through commissioning. You will manage scope, cost, resources and funding while coordinating with clients and internal/external teams.

The role requires 5+ years in project management within manufacturing, industrial, military or related fields and travel up to 75%. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of PM experience in manufacturing/industrial/military.
• Willing to travel up to 30-75% depending on project schedules.
• Not eligible for Visa Sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from conception to execution end-to-end.
• Oversee scope, cost, resources and funding for major capital projects.
• Coordinate with the client and internal/external groups.
• Develop pre-project approval documents, project charters, PM plans, estimates and milestone schedules.
• Ensure design progress and deliverables meet established requirements.
• Coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution.
• Direct and execute installation, construction and commissioning of assigned projects.
• Manage project milestones and scope, secure approvals for project changes, and provide startup assistance

Job description

• Manage small, minor and major capital projects from end to end
• Manage key components of major capital projects, including concept, scope, cost, resources and funding
• Maintain visibility to the design process and ensure adherence to project components and deliverables
• Manage overall project execution, including construction and commissioning
• Coordinate with the client and internal and external organizational groups
• Assist in developing pre-project approval documents, project charters, project management plans, estimates and milestone schedules
• Ensure design progress and deliverables meet established project requirements
• Coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution
• Direct and execute installation, construction and commissioning of assigned projects
• Manage project milestones and scope, secure approvals for project changes, and provide construction management and plant startup assistance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related field; OR Associate's Degree and 8+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related field
• Must be willing to travel up to 30-75% depending on project schedules and milestones
• This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
