Job summary

Teal Energi, a growing industrial manufacturing organization, seeks a Capital Projects Engineer to drive facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and new production initiatives. You will lead projects from concept through startup, partnering with operations, maintenance, quality, and external contractors to deliver value.

You will develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting projects within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, metals, materials, or process production environment.
  • Experience managing engineering projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience interpreting operational data and developing technical recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, engineering software, or CAD tools.

A growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Capital Projects Engineer to support facility expansions, operational improvements, equipment upgrades, and new production initiatives. What You'll Do
  • Manage multiple capital projects focused on manufacturing improvements, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and production expansion.
  • Coordinate project activities from initial planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final turnover.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address technical, schedule, and budget risks.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and external contractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support capital approval processes through project justifications, cost estimates, and business case development.
  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with site safety and quality expectations.
Manufacturing & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, equipment performance, and overall plant effectiveness.
  • Support initiatives focused on increasing throughput, reducing downtime, and improving product consistency.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for recurring operational issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts using structured problem-solving methodologies and data analysis.
  • Partner with production teams to optimize workflows and improve operational performance.
Technical & Engineering Support
  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes, equipment systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with equipment selection, vendor evaluations, and installation planning.
  • Support commissioning activities, startup troubleshooting, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Ensure projects meet applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
