Job summary

CannonDesign in Denver is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will design electrical systems for new construction and renovation across education, healthcare, corporate, and science sectors, guiding projects from concept to construction documents.

You will lead design efforts, participate in client engagement, and potentially serve as project manager. A US PE license is required, LEED accreditation is preferred, and strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the United States.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.
• Ability to work independently in all electrical disciplines with minimal oversight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Engage effectively with clients.
• Experience in building electrical design and project management.
• Proficient in engineering design software (Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools).

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building construction and develop design goals.
• Lead project teamwork and engineering meetings.
• May serve as project manager or engineering leader for projects.
• Prepare construction documents and guide junior staff.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
• Support value engineering with the team.
