Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering team on education, healthcare, and commercial projects. You will design systems, guide a multi-disciplinary team, and manage project delivery while ensuring quality and compliance with codes.

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience and a US PE license, with LEED preferred. Strong communication and client interfacing skills are essential, along with proficiency in Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Current PE in the United States.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Ability to serve in QA/QC process and as an independent reviewer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
• Experience with engineering design software (Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction.
• Oversee and mentor designers and the engineering team.
• Lead project teamwork planning sessions.
• May serve as project manager or engineering leader.
• Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, and telecom systems.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications.
• QA/QC check engineering documents and review submittals.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate with the design team.
• Adhere to codes, budgets, and schedules.
