Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical systems design for building projects across education, healthcare, sports, and commercial sectors. You will mentor designers, lead design reviews, and coordinate with clients and the project team.

The role emphasizes independent QA/QC, adherence to codes, and collaboration with MEP disciplines. A US PE license and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Current PE in the United States required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Ability to serve in QA/QC process and as an independent reviewer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
• Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
• Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction, initiating project designs and helping to develop design goals and systems.
• Oversee, guide, mentor and provide technical leadership to designers and engineering team.
• Participate or lead project teamwork planning sessions.
• May serve as project manager or project engineering leader and lead engineering meetings.
• Adhere to financial and work goals for projects.
