Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead our electrical design team on diverse building projects across education, healthcare, sports, corporate, and science sectors. You will mentor designers, oversee QA/QC, and drive design goals from concept through construction in a remote, US-based role.

Applicants should have 10+ years of related experience, a US PE license, and strong communication to interface with clients and multidisciplinary teams. LEED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Current PE in the United States required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Ability to serve in QA/QC process and as an independent reviewer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
• Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
• Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e., Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools) required.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building projects.
• Lead and mentor designers and engineers.
• Lead project meetings and planning.
• Oversee QA/QC and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with clients and design team.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform site visits and construction administration.
