Job summary

Qualifications: 13+ years in construction safety; Bachelor’s in Safety/Engineering; CHST (or within 6 months); OSHA 30; First Aid/CPR/AED; strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field, and minimum of 13 years of related construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 6 months of appointment
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certification
• Expert knowledge of safety and environmental principles and regulations
• Extensive incident management and response experience
• Cross-functional knowledge of general construction operations
• Ability to assess construction processes to identify safety-related exposures and lead corrective actions
• Management experience with budgeting and resource allocation
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on construction project sites and enforce policies.
• Set EH&S direction with project leadership and communicate vision and goals.
• Monitor KPIs and drive PDCA to improve safety performance.
• Coach frontline workers and mentor EH&S team.
• Collaborate with project team, client, trade partners, and JV partners to align standards.
• Serve as liaison with owner for EH&S matters.
• Develop project-specific EH&S plan with milestones and KPIs.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and development of EH&S staff.
