Job summary

Universal Studios in Orlando, FL is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to direct all facets of facility construction for major land, attraction, or hotel developments. The role covers planning, budgeting, scheduling, design, fabrication, delivery and commissioning to meet budget, quality and guest experience targets.

You will lead a hands-on project team, coordinate design decisions, control changes and ensure timely document control, with a focus on avoiding disputes and maintaining schedule

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15-20 years of experience in development and management of major projects with hospitality/entertainment/theme park experience.
  • License(s) in Architecture or Engineering preferred.
  • Strong project leadership and management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, plus Prolog.

Responsibilities

  • Construction/Fabrication/Implementation: oversee contractors, vendors and fabricators to complete facility development.
  • Budget/Scheduling: maintain budget and schedule within targets.
  • Creative/Architectural Development: coordinate creative content delivery.
  • Design Management: manage design teams and procurement of designers.
  • Personnel Management: hire and develop project team; large staff.
  • Project Reporting: track budget, schedule and progress to leadership.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety: follow UO policies and safety responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
