Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Assistant Director to lead the attraction technical/project management team, guiding concept feasibility, scope development, and vendor oversight for major shows and rides. The role blends safety, technical excellence, and creative constraint management to deliver immersive experiences.

The position requires coordinating with multiple reports, ensuring ADA and regulatory compliance, and aligning budgets and schedules with project milestones in a dynamic entertainment

Qualifications

• 15+ years of vendor management experience with in-field installation.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring staff.
• Strong understanding of safety, ADA, and regulatory requirements in theme park projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the attraction technical/project management team and oversee concept feasibility, scope, and vendor selection.
• Review and approve ride/show scope of work and related RFPs; enforce specifications and standards.
• Manage risk and schedule, ensure field installation strategies and SAT/test oversight.
• Drive safety improvements and ensure compliance with California DOSH and other regulations.
• Oversee ADA compliance and contribute to patent pursuits when relevant.
