Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an experienced Project Director to supervise and provide technical direction for teams delivering complex engineering and construction services in California.

The role requires 15+ years of industrial experience in engineering, project and construction management, with strong skills in project controls, budgeting, scheduling and client relations. A PE and PMP are preferred. This position is on-site in California and offers a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineer and/or Project Management Professional certification is highly preferred.
• At least 15 years of relevant industrial experience in engineering, project and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Manage commercial contracts, invoices, change notices, and project plans in Vision.
• Track scope, budget, schedule, and quality; apply project controls tools.
• Define project scope with client teams and secure alignment on deliverables.
• Lead and mentor a high-performance team; drive Change Management and client relations.
