Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead major capital programs for Food & Beverage and Paper Converting clients. The role requires guiding multi-discipline teams, shaping execution strategies, and influencing senior stakeholders across projects with travel of ~25–35%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 15+ years of capital project experience leading multi-discipline teams.
• Experience managing complex projects exceeding $10M+ or similar scale/scope.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and influence senior-level stakeholders.
• Program management experience overseeing multiple related projects within a broader capital program.

Responsibilities

• Senior client interface for major capital programs and long-term relationship management.
• Lead large, multi-discipline capital projects from concept through start-up.
• Provide executive oversight for internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Oversee project controls including scope management, risk identification and mitigation, scheduling, cost management, and use of PM software.
• Direct procurement and contracting strategies for major equipment, materials, and services, including T&M, Lump Sum, and GMP contracting methods.
• Partner with construction management for installation, commissioning, and start-up.
• Lead teams through change by building alignment and driving positive transitions.
• Apply analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving skills to project challenges.
• Champion project and site safety culture, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and contribute thought leadership.
• Support business development by strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Travel as required (approximately 25-35 percent).
