Consumers Energy is seeking a Principal Project Development Manager to lead large-scale, complex business initiatives with investments ranging from $50M to $500M. The role drives governance, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration across Michigan service centers in a hybrid work setup.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in project development, major asset acquisition, contract negotiation, and renewable energy technologies, with a track record of leading senior-level engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in project development, asset acquisition, contracts, senior leadership engagement, and strategic planning.
• Alternate: AS degree with 9+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Alternate: high school diploma with 11+ years of experience in related roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of complex business processes and governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate large-scale contracts and commercial agreements.
• Direct and guide multi-project development initiatives with significant business risk.
• Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to align strategic objectives.
