Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Senior EPC Project Manager to oversee complex utility projects in Michigan. You will lead internal and contractor teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and report to leadership across stakeholders.

The role requires strong project management, engineering knowledge, and cross-functional leadership. Hybrid work is available with onsite days Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field with project management experience.
• PMP within two years of hire as listed in certifications.
• Experience applying PLP project lifecycle processes to improve predictability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical and complex projects ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Lead project teams and manage communications with stakeholders and contractors.
• Develop execution plans including procurement, milestones, and risk mitigation.
• Plan lifecycle processes and integrate safety into all project aspects.
• Identify risks, issues, and contingencies and prepare mitigation strategies.
• Provide governance guidance and leadership to junior EPC project managers.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, and progress across multiple projects.
